Using Pen and Ink or Scratchboard, students will create a portrait of an amimal using the skills we have practised in pen and ink to create values through the build up or removal of ink, rather than through blending of carbon or charcoal.
the coal is to create a full range of values and textures through various techniques using the pen or scratch tool. Additionally students should consider other art principles in the composition of the image, i.e. use of positive negative space, balance, contrast, etc.
