Non- Drawing Class Sketchbooks: Japanese Side Stich
These sketchbooks for Painting Craft and Sculpture classes include 15 pages of drawing paper to collect thumbnails, rough drafts, Cornell cotes, agendas, and small parts to larger projects.
Here is the list of materials needed:
1. locate the "good" side of the covers for your covers and flip over to the back side. ID each corner with a TL(top left), TR (top right, BL(bottom left), and BR(bottom right).
2. Now flip the covers over to the front sides. Line up a piece of the drawing paper along the TL / TR edge of your covers (letters will be on the back side). Line up a ruler along the edge of the paper and score with your open scissors, the cover along that edge. The flaps should now easily fold to the inside in preparation for the pockets.
3. Take the two covers and lay them over one another with the flaps to the inside. Open them up like a book (the flaps should be at the bottom edges.) Align your ruler along the TR/BR edge with the flap open and score from TR down to the fold line. Fold the flap up and score that edge of the flap. Now that 1" wide margin should all easily fold to the outside, allowing your cover to lay flat when open.
Now follow instructions on video.
