What I bring to the Table
· I am Career Teacher with 7 years in the District and 9 years teaching Art
· I have taught every grade level from k-12 and I teach the Visual Art PD classes for the SLCSD Elementary Classroom Teachers. I currently teach Visual Art at East High School in Salt Lake City (Drawing, Watercolor, Acrylic, 3D Design, Sculpture, Advanced and Ap Art).
· I have a B.F.A. from the University of Utah with an emphasis in 3D Design, a M.Ed. from Utah State, an endorsement in Educational Technology, AP Studio Art Certification, an ESL endorsement, and beginning an SAEP for an endorsement in Commercial Art.
· I am a professional glass artist and have completed public art commissions for the Murray Library, The Emigration Fire Station, The Magna Fire Station, The Redwood Recreation Center, the Poplar Grove Jordan River Bridge, Oxbow Park, The Pumptrack, and Sorenson Unity Center. I do private commissions and show my work at Galleries.
· I have done numerous residencies and workshops on Glass, Mosaics, Watercolors, Kites, Videography, and Arts Integration across the State, and have presented at UAEA, Utah PTA Annual Conference, BYU Arts Express, and UCET.
· I was invited to attend Microsoft’s Innovative Educator Forum in Washington State, to provide the ornaments for the National Christmas Tree in D.C., to work with students to produce murals for the VA Hospital in SLC,
· I have worked in the private sector as a local business owner in Interior Design, Set Design, Travel, and Remodeling
