Design an image using the following instructions to create your first block one color print. As you work on this step by step, consider how you might achieve the multi-color print in the third image, "Printed Puzzle".
Create a work of art from a media that you have never used, or thought of using before. Ideally, your subject will relate on some level to the medium that you choose. A simple idea would be painting a coffee cup using coffee instead of paint. The piece should be at least 9x12". Here are a few other examples...
There is a teen art contest being sponsored by the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA). The topic is "What do Human Rights Mean To You?" We will be working on a collage project that will focus on this theme. The artwork is due on the 20th of November, and more specific instructions for the techniques we will be exploring will become available later this week. Here is a link to the call for entries.
